The Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) was implemented in 2002 in order to give ALL of Florida's four-year-olds access to a quality prekindergarten experience.
The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program is funded by the State of Florida for children 4 years of age on or before September 1st each school year. This is a Kindergarten Preparatory Course offering curriculum tailored to establish the required skills and basic knowledge necessary for success in the Public School Environment. The Course hours vary at each location. Sites may offer Morning Only, Afternoon Only or Full Day Classes. Children must attend this program FULL WEEK with minimal absenteeism.
Contact the Site Director for information regarding class schedules, calendar and registration deadline for each school year.
Extended Care Services are offered at an additional charge for children in attendance outside of the VPK class hours. There are limited spaces available each school year for this service.
