Over 40 years of Early Childhood Learning Experience

Childlife Preschool was founded in 1980 by Douglas and Shirley Robinson.  Shirley Robinson, E.C.E was a Kindergarten Teacher with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Needs. Our Flagship school opened at St. John’s Anglican Church, Toronto Canada, offering a half day preschool program for children 2 and 3 years of age.

The first Childlife Preschool built in the United States was constructed in Orlando Florida and opened in 1985. Childlife Preschool offered a unique early childhood education program in a market dominated by basic ‘Day Care Centers’. The original half day enrichment program was modified to provide full day care in order to meet the needs of working families.

David and Johnette Robinson joined the management team in the early 1990s. The Carrollwood Location opened in 1990 and the Countryway Location opened in 1995. All of our Facilities are fully Licensed by the State of Florida. And all location are Gold Seal Accredited through the Florida Association of Child Care Management.

In 2000, Childlife Corporate Solutions was founded to provide Child Care Management and Support for Corporate Child Care Centers. We managed the operations of the Ceridian Child Care Center in St. Petersburg, Florida for Ceridian Benefit Services.
