OUR MISSION

Childlife Preschool is a secure, loving environment where Parents and Teachers work together to encourage each child’s independent exploration of their world and promote their social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.  We strive to ignite a love for learning within each child that will continue to be part of their life long journey.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1982 by Shirley and Douglas Robinson, Childlife Preschool opened in Toronto, Canada. Our Flagship School was operated in the basement of St. John’s Episcopal Church offering an enrichment program for children 2 and 3 years of age.

In 1985, the first Childlife Preschool opened in the United States.  The location located at 5495 Lake Margaret Drive, Orlando Florida, offered a unique early childhood education program in a market dominated by basic ‘Day Care Centers’. The original half day enrichment program was modified to provide full day care in order to meet the needs of working families.

Our next two locations; 13140 Lynn Road and 11201 West Waters Avenue, Tampa FL opened in 1990 and 1995 respectively. All location are Gold Seal Accredited through the Florida Association of Child Care Management. Click here for more information about the APPLE ACCREDITATION

In 2000, Childlife Corporate Solutions was founded to provide Child Care Management and Support for Corporate Child Care Centers. We managed the operations of the Ceridian Child Care Center in St. Petersburg, Florida for Ceridian Benefit Services.
